never been to a house venue, do we just show up and pay?
Yes, just show up….
Well, we Do Not operate under a real pay system. we operate under a donation system. Typically shows will have a recommended donation amount(we try to stick to five dollars, however rare events are more costly or free), so we can give touring bands an idea of what they will leave with. however if ur short or feel generous we wont turn u away. Unless you are clearly intoxicated, or by action a douchebag.
Reception crackles on a lonely interstate and I can’t settle my stomach. I’m fortunate enough to get to see what lies beyond these four walls in a lonely apartment. I still wanna get home. I’ll drive all night to get back to you. Closing the distance as fast as possible. But it’s distance I created and it’s fucking harrowing. I’ll never tell you anything I don’t mean. And I can almost feel it but my senses leave me cold. I tried my best to escape it but it won’t let me go. I need a breather. I’ve been inhaling stale air for way too long. Closing the distance as fast as possible. Through the pains and the pacing there’s a semblance of a purpose. Sift through the scribble. You can decipher me. I’m not that hard to read. Silver-white light, rain down acceptance on me and when I wake I’ll be renewed.

Just posting this note to let you guys know that we decided to change our name. Over the course of the past three years as Wifebeater we’ve have come to realize that this name has somewhat limited us and the people we can reach. Our music has also progressed and although the name may of have fit what we were trying to do when we started out, we no longer feel like it does.
We have also known that our name has offended many people. It became a source of conversation and sparked debates amongst strangers over ideas which wouldn’t have been brought up, and although we do believe in this aspect of the name, we wanted to take this opportunity to apologize for any harsh memories, feelings of insecurity, or any other negativeness that our name may of have caused anyone.
So here’s whats up:
- Our new name is Lilith
-Were releasing “Return” under our new name as a 7” with Get Better Records and Out Of This Records in early March in Pittsburgh, PA.
-Were playing a few shows in the coming weeks. The dates will be posted on our new facebook page: facebook.com/pages/lilith
